Snowport Is Back, and This Year the Seaport's Winter Has a Second Address

October 29, 2026

What does a free Wednesday morning in the Seaport look like in mid-November? Snowport's gates stay shut until 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday for the first month of its season. This year the morning has somewhere to go one block down Seaport Boulevard. Commonwealth Pier spent the spring and summer filling in, and it starts its first holiday season with a free museum, a run of daytime cafés and a ferry stop. None of it needs a reservation.

That splits the season by time of day. From Nov. 6 through Dec. 6, 100 Seaport Boulevard runs the evenings and 200 Seaport Boulevard covers the daytime hours before Snowport opens.

Nov. 6 starts the clock at 100 Seaport

The Snowport Holiday Market, presented by Visa, opens Friday, Nov. 6, for its sixth season and runs through Dec. 27, Boston 25 News reported on Oct. 14. This year's lineup has more than 130 independent businesses, including 17 local food and beverage vendors. Organizers say 61% of participating businesses are based in New England. There are four themed bars, the Jingle Bar, the Dizzy Dreidel, Betty's Bar and the Blizzard Bar, and each one pours its own seasonal cocktail.

General admission is free. The weekend fast pass is back too, letting visitors book an arrival time through the Seaport Insider app for $15 per adult and $7 for veterans and kids ages 6 to 17. Children 5 and under get in free.

The hours shape the whole season. From Nov. 6 through Dec. 6, the market opens at 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closes at 8 p.m. Fridays run 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Starting Dec. 7, Monday-through-Thursday opening moves up to 11 a.m. So for the first month of the season, Monday through Thursday mornings and early afternoons at the market are closed.

One block down, nothing needs a ticket

The Museum of American Finance opened to the public at Commonwealth Pier on July 3, 2026, and admission is always free, with no tickets or reservations required. It's open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., stays open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays, and is closed Mondays, Tuesdays and federal holidays. The museum says hours may change during the grand-opening season.

The food on the Pier fills the same daytime gap. Daily Provisions, the all-day café that grew out of Danny Meyer's Union Square Cafe, debuted at 200 Seaport Blvd. on May 13. The Boston Globe pointed to its signature maple cruller, along with toasts, croissants, tuna melts and roast chicken. Life Alive Organic Cafe followed on July 21 with patio seating and a mural by a local artist, according to Boston.com. Salt & Straw opened its first Massachusetts shop there in July, with a Boston Cream Pie flavor on the menu, WBZ NewsRadio reported. The rest of the Pier's dining directory lists Rosa Mexicano, Dunkin', and the Seaport Hotel's Aura, Seaport Café and TAMO Bistro + Bar. Aura serves breakfast daily with a weekend buffet, and TAMO opens at 4 p.m.

Outside, Pembroke has finished a 25,000-square-foot waterfront plaza and a wider Harborwalk with new lighting, seating and public art. That gives the block somewhere to walk between a museum visit and the market's 3 p.m. opening.

Here's how the two addresses line up on an ordinary week from Nov. 6 through Dec. 6:

Day Snowport, 100 Seaport Blvd Museum of American Finance, 200 Seaport Blvd
Monday 3–8 p.m., Mohegan Music Mondays at 5 p.m. Closed
Tuesday 3–8 p.m. Closed
Wednesday 3–8 p.m. 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Thursday 3–8 p.m. 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Friday 11 a.m.–9 p.m. 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m.–9 p.m. 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m.–8 p.m. 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays the two schedules hand off. The museum runs the morning, the market opens at 3, and on Thursdays both are open until early evening. Wednesday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, a federal holiday, so the museum will be closed that day.

The weekday ferry that stops at the Pier

The Pier also has a transit link that Snowport's block doesn't. The MBTA's F10 Harbor Loop launched June 29, 2026, with year-round weekday service connecting Lovejoy Wharf and North Station, Central Wharf by the Aquarium, Seaport/Commonwealth Pier and Logan Airport. Boats run about every 30 minutes at peak times, and a full fare is $2.40, according to the MBTA.

The F10 runs alongside the separate Seaport Ferry rather than replacing it. The Seaport Ferry's schedule lists Lovejoy Wharf, Fan Pier and Pier 10 as its North Station route stops, not Commonwealth Pier. The F10 runs weekdays only, so its schedule overlaps the Monday-through-Thursday stretch when the Pier has the daytime to itself.

The dated evenings, in order

The block-by-block split holds through early December. The calendar's fixed dates mostly fall on the Snowport side, around Seaport Common and Harbor Way:

  1. Friday, Nov. 6. Snowport opens. The free, all-ages iceless curling lanes at 111 Harbor Way open the same day. Lanes are booked through the app, and one reservation covers up to eight people for 30 minutes.
  2. Mondays from Nov. 9 through Dec. 21. Mohegan Music Mondays bring Berklee-affiliated performers to the market at 5 p.m. on Nov. 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Dec. 7, 14 and 21. More live music is planned Tuesdays through Thursdays.
  3. Friday, Nov. 20. The Tree Market at 99 Autumn Lane opens daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Dec. 24 and delivers locally. It closes on Thanksgiving.
  4. Thursday, Nov. 26. Thanksgiving. Snowport is closed.
  5. Friday, Dec. 4. Light Up Seaport, presented by Constant Contact, runs 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Seaport Common, 85 Northern Ave., with holiday music and an appearance by Betty the Yeti.
  6. Monday, Dec. 7. Snowport's Monday-through-Thursday hours change to 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the market starts competing with the Pier for daytime visitors.
  7. Thursday, Dec. 10. Chabad of Downtown Boston hosts the Menorah Lighting at One Seaport, 60 Seaport Blvd., at 4:30 p.m.
  8. Thursday, Dec. 24 and Sunday, Dec. 27. The market closes at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, stays closed Christmas Day and wraps up its season on Dec. 27.

The curling lanes keep running after the market closes, through Feb. 28, 2027. The Snowport page also advertises a synthetic Glice skating rink at Ballers, 25 Pier 4 Boulevard, but it hasn't posted dates or hours for it.

A holiday dinner across the channel

If a Snowport evening ends with a reservation somewhere, the newest big room nearby is on the Fort Point side. Hawksmoor, the London steakhouse, opened at 15 Necco Street on Sept. 8, according to Boston.com, and Boston Magazine was calling it open by Sept. 10. Eater Boston described it as a 280-seat space with a bar, an outdoor terrace, charcoal-grilled steaks and local seafood. It's the first holiday season for that room too.

What the Pier's winter still doesn't include

The Pier's daytime strength comes with a gap. It doesn't yet have a destination dinner room or any holiday programming of its own. Its dining directory still marks Ci Siamo, the live-fire Italian restaurant from Chef Hillary Sterling and Union Square Hospitality Group, as "coming soon." Boston.com's guide to 2025 openings listed it for late 2025, and MassLive reported in March 2026 that it planned to open "this summer." Ci Siamo's own Boston page invites visitors to "stay in the know about our arrival" and gives no date.

The other two big tenants are on longer timelines. Pembroke has said Earls Kitchen + Bar will open at Seaport West in early 2027, at 157 Seaport Boulevard, according to Caught In Southie. On Oct. 15, the Pier announced Life Time for late 2027. Plans include a 45,000-square-foot waterfront club with studios, sauna and thermal amenities, a café, a bar and public fitness programming.

For now, the Pier's events calendar runs through an Oct. 28 paper-star workshop, along with ICA art walks and fitness classes earlier in the month, and lists nothing for November or December yet.
